At LA-Tronics, every laptop, tablet, desktop, component, and accessory we sell is inspected, tested, and graded before it goes out the door. If something isn't right, we make it right. This page explains exactly when we issue a refund, how the money gets back to you, and who pays for return shipping. For the step-by-step return process itself, see our Return Policy.
When we issue a refund
You're eligible for a refund in any of the following situations:
- Approved return received and inspected. You returned an eligible item within our 30-day window, and we've received it and confirmed its condition.
- Defective, dead-on-arrival (DOA), or not-as-described. The item arrived faulty, failed on first use, or didn't match its listing. You get a full refund at no cost to you — and we cover the return shipping.
- Order canceled before shipment. If you cancel while your order is still being processed and it hasn't left our facility, we refund it in full — nothing further is owed.
No restocking fee — ever
LA-Tronics does not charge a restocking fee on any return, for any reason. What you paid for the item comes back to you in full when a return is approved. The only cost you might carry is the return shipping on a change-of-mind return — explained below.
Who pays for return shipping
- We pay. For defective, DOA, or not-as-described items, LA-Tronics covers the cost of return shipping. This is our return promise — if the fault is ours, it costs you nothing.
- You pay. For a change-of-mind return — where the item is exactly as described but you simply decide you no longer want it — you're responsible for the return shipping. The return is still accepted within the 30-day window with no restocking fee; only the return postage is on you.
Refund method and timing
Refunds are always issued to your original payment method — the same card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) or PayPal account you used at checkout. We process the refund within 3–5 business days after we receive and inspect your returned item. Once we send it, your bank or card issuer may take a few additional days to post the credit to your statement, which is outside our control.
For orders canceled before shipment, we release the refund as soon as the cancellation is confirmed, with the same 3–5 business day processing window.
What is non-refundable
- Return shipping on change-of-mind returns. When you return a correctly-described item because you changed your mind, the return postage you pay is not refunded.
- Items sold "for parts / not working" or "as-is." Products expressly listed this way are sold without warranty and are not eligible for refund, since their condition is fully disclosed on the product page before purchase.
Everything else carries a 30-day warranty by default, unless a longer term is stated on that product's details page — so most items you buy from us are fully covered.
How to request a refund
- Contact us by email at info@LA-Tronics.com or by phone at (424) 269-2902, and include your order number.
- Tell us which item you're returning and the reason — defective, not-as-described, or change-of-mind — so we can send the right return instructions and, where applicable, a prepaid shipping label.
- Send the item back in the same condition you received it, with all included accessories (original packaging preferred).
- Once we receive and inspect the return, we process your refund to the original payment method within 3–5 business days.
